Terms of Service
Effective August 25, 2026 · Version 2026-08-25
Important: PixoraHQ services are organizational and communication tools. They are not emergency, safety-monitoring, financial-advice, tax-advice, investment-advice, legal-advice, banking, or guaranteed record-storage services. Call the appropriate emergency service if anyone may be in danger.
Budget information
Pixora Budget helps you manually organize household accounts, transactions, category plans, recurring items, savings goals, and calendar reminders. It does not connect to or verify your financial institution, move money, pay bills, check credit, prepare taxes, or act as a fiduciary. Amounts, balances, projections, categories, due dates, imports, exports, and reminders may be incomplete, delayed, duplicated, or incorrect. You are responsible for verifying all information with the applicable financial institution or provider and for your household financial decisions. To the extent permitted by law, PixoraHQ is not liable for missed payments, fees, interest, overdrafts, tax consequences, investment losses, or other decisions or losses based on Budget data.
Who may use PixoraHQ
You must be at least 18 to create or operate a self-managed Pixora account. A person under 18 may use only a parent-managed profile created by their parent or legal guardian. The parent or guardian is responsible for consent, supervision, approved contacts, safeguards, and compliance with laws that apply to the child. Parent-managed profiles for ages 13–17 are available. Under-13 profiles are unavailable until PixoraHQ enables a reviewed verifiable-parental-consent process. Entering a false age or posing as a parent or legal guardian violates these Terms.
Your account and connections
You are responsible for protecting account and invitation codes, reviewing connection requests, keeping account information accurate, and activity conducted through your account. Only connect with people you know and trust. Codes are not proof of identity; PixoraHQ does not guarantee that a user is who they claim to be.
Your content and conduct
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant PixoraHQ the limited rights needed to host, process, transmit, display, moderate, back up, and delete that content to operate and protect the service. You must have the right to share your content and may not use the service for unlawful, abusive, exploitative, deceptive, threatening, privacy-invasive, or rights-infringing activity. You are responsible for your posts, replies, uploads, tags, messages, invitations, and interactions.
Privacy, expiration, and screenshots
Audience controls and expiring posts reduce exposure but cannot prevent a recipient from copying, photographing, recording, forwarding, or retaining content. Deletion and expiration may not remove copies already received, legally preserved, cached, or included in security backups. Do not share anything you could not tolerate a recipient retaining.
A Pop-up Circle closes at its displayed date and time. Its ordinary messages and working media are then deleted; the empty Circle record and limited activity metadata are deleted after seven days. Report evidence, legally required records, and legal-hold material may be kept separately.
School communities
School email verification proves control of an address only—not current enrollment, age, identity, or endorsement. It expires after 180 days. School Circles are independent and are not operated or endorsed by the named school; do not represent them as official school services. Lasting College Circles may be created and joined only inside the matching verified school community. They may not be invited, linked, or published into The Commons as a way around that boundary.
Moderation and safety tools
Blocking, reporting, filters, parent controls, warnings, and group administration are aids, not guarantees. PixoraHQ may investigate, restrict, preserve, remove, or disclose accounts and content when reasonably needed to enforce these Terms, protect users or the service, comply with law, or respond to valid legal process. We do not promise to review every post, report, group, or interaction, or to prevent all harmful conduct.
Connect screens submitted posts, replies, Private Room messages, edits, supported images, and attachment captions before delivery. If the screening service is unavailable, the submission is not published. Flagged attempts may be preserved in a restricted administrator report for review and appeal. Automated screening can make mistakes and does not replace emergency services, human judgment, or a user's obligation to report immediate danger.
Text invitations
A signed-in member may ask PixoraHQ to send a single Connect invitation link to a mobile number they enter. The message does not subscribe that number to alerts, reminders, marketing, or recurring texts. Message and data rates may apply. Recipients may reply STOP to block future PixoraHQ messages. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Service changes and third parties
We may change, suspend, discontinue, limit, or remove features or accounts. Availability, delivery, notifications, search, storage, security controls, and integrations are not guaranteed. Third-party services—including hosting, email, browsers, devices, and linked sites—are governed by their own terms and may fail or change. Maintain your own copies of important information.
Advertising
Connect does not currently display active advertising. The public PixoraHQ storefront may use Google AdSense subject to the storefront's consent controls and Privacy Notice. If advertising is introduced in Connect, sponsored content will be labeled and subject to frequency limits and reporting controls. Advertising does not imply PixoraHQ endorses an advertiser or its claims. Personalized advertising will not be served to parent-managed child accounts.
Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PixoraHQ and its operators provide the service “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, uninterrupted operation, accuracy, identity, security, or preservation of content. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or right that applicable law does not permit us to exclude.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PixoraHQ and its owners, operators, affiliates, suppliers, and personnel will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; lost profits, opportunities, goodwill, or data; personal disputes; user or third-party conduct or content; unauthorized access; service interruptions; or reliance on the service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, total liability for all claims relating to the free service will not exceed US $100. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law, including liability that cannot lawfully be limited, or to our fraud, willful misconduct, or gross negligence where such exclusions are not permitted.
Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend and indemnify PixoraHQ and its operators against third-party claims arising from your content, unlawful use, violation of another person’s rights, or violation of these Terms. This does not apply to the extent a claim was caused by PixoraHQ’s own unlawful conduct.
Termination and changes
You may stop using the service at any time. We may restrict or terminate access for safety, security, legal, operational, or Terms violations. Material Terms changes will be presented for renewed acceptance. Continued use after acceptance is governed by the version accepted.
